project where we will be able to provide food packages to up to 3,000 families every month. Their basic need for food will be covered thanks to the Gamingtec team.
GIO: You presented your charity fund at SiGMA Europe in Malta in November 2022; will you be attending any other industry events this year? VS: Yes, we are immensely grateful to the organisers of SiGMA Europe who supported our foundation and provided a place at the exhibition for our modest stand. This helped us raise money to support the refugees. Also, as I mentioned earlier, the SBC media is a friend and partner of our foundation. In addition to covering news from the gaming industry, SBC is also known for organising the biggest and best exhibitions and summits. Last year, Peter spoke about the foundation at the SBC Awards and SBC Awards Latinoamerica. This year, SBC has been even more generous and allowed us to attend their events with our stand. We will be happy to participate in SBC events and talk about the problems of Ukraine and how to solve them. We hope that we will not be limited to these events as we’re also looking to visit other exhibitions.

GIO: What are your plans for the charity this year? How will you evolve the foundation? VS: Very soon, together with Gamingtec, we will be launching a volunteer centre in Odesa. It so happened that Odesa became a real hub for volunteer initiatives since many refugees from the occupied territories in eastern and southern Ukraine moved here. So many people have left their lives behind, their homes are destroyed, and they have no jobs or even clothes. They need all kinds of support, from the help of a psychologist or a doctor to supplies like clothing and food. These people need to rehabilitate and find new meanings and opportunities to build their lives. Our main task for the near future will be the development of our volunteer centre. For the next three months, this centre will be focused on providing food to those in need. Together with Gamingtec, we plan to give many families complete weekly food packages during the month through our ‘Feed those who need’ campaign, and we are very grateful to our partners for their support and assistance. We also plan to open a similar volunteer centre in Kyiv. We really hope and believe that the war will end soon but we also understand that the problems will not go away. Therefore, throughout 2023 we are focused on the fruitful work of the fund and invite everyone to join us.
