En cifras de Coljuegos, los juegos operados por internet han tenido un crecimiento positivo en los últimos años. De hecho, en el año 2020 cerraron con


apuestas cercanas a los 8 billones de pesos y para el año 2021 en 16 billones de pesos; en el 2022 se reportan apuestas por 26 billones de pesos, con un crecimiento del 67%. “Los juegos operados por internet han generado recursos por concepto de derechos de explotación superiores a los 255.376 millones de pesos, US$53.6 millones, en el último año, dinero cuya fi nalidad prevalente es el fi nanciamiento de la salud de los colombianos”, se explica desde Coljuegos.


PERU Casinos pagarían US$54,6 millones en impuestos en 2023


El ministro de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Luis Fernando Helguero, ha revelado que la recaudación de impuestos pagados por los casinos y salas de máquinas tragamonedas que operan en Perú sumaría unos 210 millones de soles (US$54,6 millones) en el presente año, signifi cando un aumento del 5% sobre lo recaudado en el anos 2022, alrededor de 200 millones de soles. Durante su presentación en la Comisión de


Comercio Exterior y Turismo, el ministro Helguera sostuvo la importancia de la recaudación de impuestos del sector del juego peruano, que se distribuye entre el Ejecutivo y las municipalidades locales: : “El 30% es para las municipalidades


provinciales, 30% para los municipios distritales, el 15% va el tesoro público, el 15% va para Mincetur y el 10% restante se deriva al Instituto Peruano del Deporte”. A nivel nacional existen 19 salas de juego de casino y 719 salas de juego de máquinas tragamonedas en Perú, las cuales son fi scalizadas por distintas autoridades para prevenir ciertos delitos. Como medida de prevención de los delitos de lavado de activos y


de fi nanciamiento al terrorismo, el ministro destacó que su cartera trabaja estrechamente con la Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP (SBS) y la Unidad de Inteligencia Financiera del Perú (UIF), añadiendo: “En materia de control y fi scalización de la actividad, en el presente año se prevé realizar 2,520 inspecciones técnicas en salas de juegos de máquinas tragamonedas y 2,880 inspecciones técnicas a salas de casinos”.

In 2022, betting has been reported at COL$26 billion showing 67% growth Y/Y. “The games operated by the internet have generated resources for exploitation rights exceeding 255,376 million pesos, US $53.6 million, in the last year. This money has a prevalent purpose, which is fi nancing the health of all Colombians,” explains Coljuegos.


PERU Casinos would pay taxes US$54.6 million tax in 2023


The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Luis Fernando Helguero, has revealed that tax revenues paid by casinos and slot machine operations in Peru would total about 210 million soles (US $54.6 million) this year, meaning an increase of 5% on what was collected in the year 2022, of around 200 million soles. During his presentation at the Foreign


Trade and Tourism Commission, Minister Helguera stated the importance of tax collection from the Peruvian gaming sector, which is distributed between the Executive and local municipalities: “30% is for provincial municipalities, 30% for district municipalities, 15% goes to the


public treasury, 15% goes to Mincetur and the remaining 10% is allocated to the Peruvian Sports Institute.” On a national level there are 19 full casinos plus 719 slot machine gambling salons in Peru, which are fully supervised by different authorities to help prevent certain types of crime. Following measures to prevent crimes of money laundering and


terrorist fi nancing, the minister stressed that his portfolio works closely with the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) and the Financial Intelligence Unit of Peru (UIF), adding: “In terms of control and supervision of the gambling activity, this year regulators are expected to carry out 2,520 technical inspections in slot machine game salons and 2,880 technical inspections in full casinos.”
