BET ON GOOD FOUNDATION Bet on Good Foundation

Vlad Slyusarenko, chief marketing officer at TVBET talks about how the iGaming industry is becoming united through the Bet on Good Foundation, a charity designed to help those in need in Ukraine.

GIO: What is your role at TVBET? Vlad Slyusarenko: My name is Vlad and I hold the position of chief marketing officer at TVBET. Before that, I was engaged exclusively in promotion videos and design but had been cooperating with TVBET for many years. Last year, I joined the TVBET team and started working on its promotion fully as a marketing director. When I joined the company, it coincided with the war that began on the territory of my country. As a result, TVBET CEO Peter Korpusenko and I came up with the idea of creating a charitable foundation to help Ukraine. We both understand that we have many contacts in the industry, our reputation, knowledge and even the fact that we are both Ukrainians will allow us to receive support from partners and manage the project with high quality control processes. We’re making sure all funds go to useful support programs for Ukraine and the teams working on these programs are fully involved in this process.

GIO: What is the Bet on Good Foundation? VS: Bet on Good Foundation is an unusual charitable foundation because we did not create it under the TVBET brand. Instead, it was created under the flag of the entire iGaming industry to unite companies and create a powerful and decisive flow of energy that can achieve great charitable results. The war in Ukraine is a colossal crisis for millions of people. Millions of families have lost their normal day-to-day lives, homes, and jobs. They all need support which is why our fund was created. Together with our partners, we are aiming to help thousands of families every month. Today it is Ukraine and its inhabitants, mothers, fathers, children, grandchildren, men, and women. Tomorrow it could be any other crisis which is why we are creating a platform now.

GIO: Why did you launch the Bet on Good Foundation? VS: It’s impossible to comprehend but the largest war in the centre of Europe since the Second World War is happening

right now. The war concerns not only Ukrainians but the whole world, and the iGaming industry has many opportunities to bring the end of this unjust war even a little closer.

As I said, the fund’s founder is Peter Korpusenko, the founder and CEO of TVBET. The fact is that most of the TVBET team are Ukrainians who work in Poland or have remained working in Ukraine despite the war. From the very beginning of the war, Peter and the team helped the country in every possible way – they attended rallies, volunteered, donated, and bought helmets and body armour for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In parallel with this, we observed how other iGaming companies helped Ukraine. We realised that it would be great to combine all the efforts, this led to the idea of creating a fund and Bet on Good was born.

GIO: What can the iGaming industry do to help? VS: The iGaming industry is a huge and open community that can influence a lot of things. An incredible number of people are involved who, not only in word but also in deed, show their concern for the problems of Ukraine. From the very beginning of the war, we have been surprised by how much the industry helps and supports Ukrainians. As Ukrainians, we are warmed by the idea that we are not alone with the enemy and

Any industry representative can take steps to bring victory closer to Ukraine – a post with an appeal to support Ukraine on LinkedIn, a small donation to charitable foundations, a repost of important news, and so on. Entrepreneurs and founders of gambling companies can help with donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or create charitable foundations just like we have. The war is not over yet, and many people still need help. We are now preparing a ‘Feed those who need’ campaign. For only 2,000 euros, our partner company will be able to feed 1,000-1,500 refugees a day with a complete food ration prepared by professional chefs and served in a catering area. Can you imagine how many refugees we could support? If we have 30 partners, companies ready to provide support once a month, we would be able provide people with food for the whole month.

GIO: Who are your current industry partners? VS: Of course, our main partner is the TVBET company. The SBC team helps us a lot, they have repeatedly extended a helping hand to us and made it possible to talk about Ukraine to a large audience. Very soon we will become a permanent participant at their exhibitions with our small foundation stand giving us the opportunity to talk about Ukraine to an even larger audience.

We thank our close friends at Betbazar, especially Nana Schneider. Together with them, we launched a series of interviews within the framework of the EGR platform, talked to Matthew Wojciow and addressed his audience, and shared the problems that Ukrainians faced due to the war, missile strikes, and the destruction of entire cities.

Not so long ago, the excellent iGaming company Gamingtec became our partner, and now we are in the process of developing a large charity
