With 18 years’ experience in the franchise sector, Pip has worked her way up within the association, gaining insight from all areas of the business and the franchise industry. She is well known and highly regarded in franchising for her dedication and depth of knowledge. Pip regularly speaks at conferences and seminars both domestically and internationally, as well as writing on franchising matters for national, local and franchising trade press. She represents the UK at both the European Franchise Federation and World Franchise Council.


Jane Masih Director, Owen White Solicitors


Jane Masih heads up the franchising team at Owen White Solicitors. She has over 20 years’ experience advising franchisors on the development of their networks. Her experience includes drafting franchise agreements and master licences, acting in the sale and purchase of franchise businesses, and advising on intellectual property matters. She is also a regular speaker at industry events and contributes to articles on various aspects of franchising.


Tony Massey UK deputy head of fra nchising, HSBC


Tony Massey is UK deputy head of franchising for HSBC. He has over 40 years’ experience across the full scope of retail and corporate banking – exclusively with HSBC. For the past seven years, Tony has focused on franchising as a key member of the HSBC UK team, delivering signifi cant support to the sector – resulting in HSBC now being the go-to bank for franchise matters.


Tim Samuel Business director, Smithfield Agency


Tim Samuel has 20 years’ experience in advertising, media planning and buying. He creates profi table, sustainable growth for his clients, who come from a range of sectors – principally in consumer marketing. From insurance to retail, charity to travel, Tim has gained valuable insight and experience in what works to drive profi t. Alongside his media strategy role, he is also the business director for Smithfi eld Agency.
