Trailblazer Talk

u Visiting Angels CEO Dan Archer delivers TEDx talk with real change the goal for 2024. Visiting Angels CEO Dan Archer has been lauded by colleagues in the care sector for delivering a powerful and vitally important TED talk at the TEDx Holgate Women event at the end of 2023. Bringing his visionary ‘carer-centric’ ethos to the TED platform, which currently has over 39 million subscribers on YouTube, Dan discussed how his empowering journey with his own grandmother led him to trailblaze a positive approach to care and carer management in a sector in need of reform. Speaking among experts including

Transformational Coach for women in business Andrea Morrison, Leadership Coach for women in tech Emma Brassington, Chair of Inclusive Equal Rights UK 3.0 Haddy Njie and more, Dan’s talk signified a step forward for recognising the role carers play in society today. “Having the opportunity to discuss

these concepts on the TED platform captured the very essence of what we’re doing at Visiting Angels,” said Dan. “We’re not just out to deliver industry- leading care and career opportunities for carers, but we’re starting the movement towards building a more progressive and well-developed care sector in the UK and around the world. There’s nowhere better to share these ideas than TED, and I’m incredibly proud to have found myself in a position where I’m representing the care industry amongst some of the world’s leading minds across a diversity of specialisms and sectors.” Dan has subsequently been invited to

share this thought leadership in the House of Commons with Helen Whately, the

Minster of State for Social Care this month. “The point of TED talks is to make sure

innovation is celebrated and heard. And having only launched Visiting Angels in the UK in 2017, it’s incredible to know that what started as a small idea is now becoming

globally recognised for being the blueprint for getting the best out of carers today. This isn’t the end of the road for making sure Visiting Angels becomes the example of exceptional care around the world thanks to our carer-centric model – we have some really exciting plans for 2024 that will propel our mission and brand further than ever before. “Carer centricity isn’t a simple

marketing ploy or empty words – it’s the life blood of our organisation and it’s the reason we’ve welcomed over 60 franchisees since launching our franchise opportunity in 2019.”
