Revive! Leadership & Culture

Revive! Auto Innovations has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving from a small company with a handful of franchisees into a leading force in the mobile paint repair sector. With 54 franchisees and a company-owned mobile repair business boasting over 30 technicians, Revive! has firmly established itself in the industry.

From its inception, Revive! has embraced core values - Integrity, Outstanding Customer Service, Technical Excellence, and Unity - as the pillars of its success.

A commitment to continuous improvement propels Revive!’s expansion journey. Joint Managing Directors

Mark Llewellyn and Terry Mullen pursued mini-MBAs in Leadership and Management, recognising the pivotal link between effective leadership and franchisee success. Franchisee engagement takes centre stage at Revive!. In 2022, the company prioritised re-engagement, urging franchise owners to capitalise on opportunities and meet escalating customer demand. Platforms like annual conferences, regional get-togethers, roadshows, and peer-to-peer groups facilitate networking, feedback, and healthy competition.

Revive! revamped its franchisee training programme, introducing face-to-face courses and meetings that highlight peer learning and leadership development.

Brandon Akerman Next Generation Franchisee

At just 24, Brandon Akerman, a franchisee at ChipsAway Exeter, is a rising star in the automotive repair industry, demonstrating impressive growth and entrepreneurial flair. Starting his franchise journey in October 2020 as a mobile repair specialist, Brandon quickly transitioned to opening a ChipsAway Car Body Repair Centre within six months, becoming the youngest specialist to operate such a workshop.

Inspired by his father’s entrepreneurial example, Brandon values the familial atmosphere created by

ChipsAway. With the brand’s support, he expanded operations, adding a second mobile territory and hiring staff for repairs, allowing him to focus on business development.

Brandon’s dedication to growth is evident as he looks to expand into a third territory within the next 12 months. He emphasises the power of teamwork and plans to hire individuals who share his work ethic. Nominated for the BFA ‘Next Generation’ Award, Brandon sees it as motivation to achieve more remarkable milestones, encouraging others to explore entrepreneurship through franchising.

The company’s Platinum status in the Investors in People accreditation, boasting an impressive employee survey score of 9.1 out of 10, underscores its commitment to employee satisfaction.

Reflecting on his journey, Brandon asserts that determination, innovation, and a supportive franchisor have been key to his success.
