Greene King Leadership & Culture
Greene King Pub Partners oversees a diverse portfolio of 1,000 pubs across England, Scotland, and Wales, introducing the Pub Franchise Agreement in 2021. This innovative agreement provides an accessible avenue for individuals to own and operate a pub business with enhanced support from Greene King.
Internal measurement tools, such as “The Dartboard,” ensure alignment with values and goals, measuring scores linked to behaviours and values, and emphasising how goals are achieved. Business Development Reviews, based on “The Dartboard,” empower franchisees through goal setting with their Greene King
Business Development Manager. Franchisees also access a franchise-specific version of “The Vault,” fostering cultural integration.
Support includes the “First 100 Days” programme, featuring a 4-day induction and ongoing support. Training extends beyond the initial period with additional bespoke training and workshops for continued growth.
Collaboration is strengthened through initiatives such as area meetings, WhatsApp groups, and a private Facebook page.
Events, franchise days at the races, and the “Best Franchise Pub of the Year Award” enhance collaboration and recognition.
