Duty Free also plans to bring in several new beauty brands to expand its international and Korean cosmetics offer. “We opened with 12 Estée Lauder

m boutique with a large window display,” reveals Yu. “There will be eight boutiques when our store is complete.


Entas Duty Free to open Incheon arrivals shop


As reported, Entas Duty Free is preparing to expand its existing operations at Incheon International Airport on 31 May with a duty free arrivals shops at Terminal 2. Entas Duty Free already operates a


liquor & tobacco shop in Terminal 1 and a mixed category outlet in Terminal 2. The firm’s Terminal 1 departure shop


recorded single-digit growth in 2018 after Korean Air transferred its flights from there to the newly opened Terminal 2, forcing about 30% of passenger traffic (mostly South Korean travellers) to move. “It’s 70% South Korean and 30% foreign


passengers in our Terminal 1 shop,” says Entas Duty Free CEO David Yu. “They buy liquor and tobacco. We can cross

sell to about 35% of customers as most smokers are drinkers and vice versa. “Tobacco outperforms liquor; 70% of


our sales are tobacco and 30% liquor.” Sales in Entas Duty Free’s new Terminal

brands; we have Aigner and Zegna already. We chose these brands as they appeal to casino visitors.” The Paradise City store boasts a


ceiling height of 3.5 metres on both floors with a polished black and white checked granite floor and more than 40 LCD light box panels. “These LCD panels will convert to


video screens for individual brands,” according to You. “In addition, brands will have instore screens. “This is a work in progress. We will


have our grand opening in the first week of May. “When the store is complete it


will be super luxurious to attract our core customers: casino visitors who expect nothing but the best from a retailer.” Entas Duty Free will have room to


grow as Yu reveals there is additional space available should sales move in the right direction. A third floor of over 1,400 sq m is available should the company be approved for further expansion. For the moment, however, the company has 1,700sq m of retail space on the first floor and 1,600sq m on the second floor. In addition to the unused third


floor, it has set aside more retail space, by leasing an adjacent undeveloped plot of land. «
