HAPPY LANDING This is a very good idea (UK to ditch landing cards, buyingbusinesstravel. com). The queues at Stansted airport have been unbearable recently. When you are travelling for

business and are in an extreme hurry because you land and leave a place on the same day, every minute counts. Hopefully this proposal goes somewhere. I am certainly keeping my fingers crossed.

IN THE ZONE I suffer from limited mobility and heart failure, but not enough to qualify for disabled badge or benefits (Minicabs and Uber to pay London Congestion Charge, buyingbusinesstravel.com). I work in Guys Hospital and rely on mini cabs to get me to and from work. If this charge is set in place it would increase my cab fares to and from work, as Guys is in the congestion zone. This charge is incredibly unfair and Mayor

Khan is unaffected by this as he most probably has no need to rely on a mini cab. Colleen Tierney (via BBT website)

MADE UP As a cabin crew member myself I think passengers respect us more if we look the part (Virgin Atlantic relaxes cabin crew makeup rule, buyingbusinesstravel.com). Makeup is part of that but wearing skirts is probably even more important. Virgin is a full-service carrier not a low-cost one, so uniform should be based on what looks best, not what’s most comfortable. I already have to work alongside women who’ve requested the special order trousers and believe me it’s not a good look. If they’re issued as standard they could become more commonplace. Emma Burton

PLANNING PERFECTION Amon, you are too witty! I loved this commentary! I will never “pre-plan” ever again. You are the greatest! (According to Amon: A tragic tale and a timely reminder, BBT March/April 2019).

@CHELLEDIXON On an @easyJet flight about to depart for Edinburgh, the flight attendant said, “Welcome aboard this Easyjet flight to Dusseldorf”!

@CARLOSGIL83 The business networking game in airports and Uber carpooling is untapped.

CHANGE FOR GOOD Having experienced the delays last year by Southern Rail into London Bridge, I am not surprised that friends and colleagues moved out of London and overseas (Rail: Time for change, buyingbusinesstravel.com). However, credit where it is due, it appears to be working rather well now. The new capacity has resulted in fewer people standing. Stevensmdw

@ZAGUSH The worst-kept secret in the airline industry. The real coup would be if Jetblue decided to fly Boston-London City.
