shown in Brussels. Designed to help dealers calculate the correct bet payouts for the slew of new games appearing on gaming tables with enhanced odds. Roulette-Xtra, for example, a new game developed by TCSJohnHuxley that combines traditional roulette with a random multiplier bet, pays 30-1 instead of the regular 36-1. “Te Bet Calculator calculates the correct number of chips and the chip value for a host of new games, speeding up the game and removing errors,” explained TCSJohnHuxley’s Patrick Magendans, Head of Sales UK/Europe. “Te European Dealer Championship is the perfect place to showcase the Bet Calculator. Te best of the best dealers in Europe can gain hands-on experience with our products, including all the roulette wheels that we supplied for the competition.”

The ECA Dealer Championship is the longest-running

competition of its kind in Europe, with croupiers chosen at the national level to

compete in a knock- out tournament that involves technical skill, control of the game, hospitality and nerves of steel. Since its inaugural event in 2007, the European Dealer Championship has visited 14 countries and

welcomed almost 500 contestants and 2,500 spectators

from across Europe and beyond.

Also supplying product for the competition, including all chips and plaques, Matsui Gaming Europe’s Dave Holt was thrilled to see dealers interacting with Matsui’s products throughout the two-day competition. “We’ve supplied bespoke EDC chips for the competition since the event took place at the Hippodrome in the UK,” stated Dave Holt in Brussels. “In addition to the tournament chips, we supplied roulette chips, winner plaques and momento chips for the event. It is great to see our products in the hands of the dealers as they show their skills at this brilliantly staged competition.”

New to the competition this year was a live feed from the two main dealer tables to Twitch.tv, enabling viewers to watch the action from any location, via a computer or mobile phone. Enabling this technology and establishing the link from the Grand Casino Brussels VIAGE, was ICSE, another long-term sponsor of the EDC. ICSE’s Marco Guidomar explained that the Twitch.TV channel was created using the existing camera feed from the casino, including a feed from casino security experts, Dallmeier (another sponsor of the event showcasing the company’s latest technology at the EDC), with microphones added to the tables so that the audience was fully immersed in the experience.
