North Canton, OH — Graco Advanced Fluid Dispense (AFD) has introduced its new InvisiPac® feed system, specifically designed for feeding adhe- sives to the InvisiPac Tank-Free™ hot melt deliv- ery system. The new feeding system helps to over- come problems associated with overall adhesive feed reliability and reduces the stickiness and glue clumping that can result in downtime and decreased production. Operating with a vacuum transfer pneumatic
pressure range of 40 to 100 psi, the InvisiPac feed system automatically feeds pellets from the adhe- sive bin into a fully-enclosed “chicklet” feed hopper that keeps adhesive free of dust and contaminants. An internal shaker with vibrating arms that

up on one side or the other. It breaks up clumps, reducing the likelihood of bridging. The internal shaker also reduces the air consumption that is needed to support external shakers. Unlike other technologies that stop feeding
with as much as 8 to 12 in. (20 to 30 cm) of adhe- sive pellets left in the hopper, the feed system will feed to within 4 in. (10 cm) of the bottom of the hopper.
The system offers simple installation, with a
push-to-connect airline from the InvisiPac system and a quick-disconnect vacuum hose. This allows operators to attach hoses in 20 seconds or less. An optional, wheeled, feed-bin dolly accessory makes it easy to transport the hopper to wherever it is needed.
