Page 79 DATA MODUL Upgrades FIDS at Stuttgart Airport
HAUPPAUGE, NY — Stuttgart Airport has started to update its Flight Information Display System software (FIDS). In this context, DATA MODUL provides the fitting solution with its maXcs software, which is developed in-house. The maXcs software has been an inte-
gral part of DATA MODUL’s portfolio for decades and has proven itself in numerous applications worldwide. The software is intuitive to use, easy to expand and adapt and can therefore be integrated extremely flexibly into existing system architectures. Requirements for 24/7 operation 365 days a year and connection to a wide range of inter- faces are just a few examples of customer requirements encountered again and again. The company’s maXcs soft-
ware has already been used suc- cessfully for many years at air- ports worldwide for the visual presentation of passenger infor- mation and is particularly con- vincing thanks to its open, modu- lar system architecture, which allows and simplifies individual adaptations to existing systems and interfaces. Thanks to its scalability,
passenger information can be updated in real time, allowing travelers to be informed quickly
Agile Analog Announces RC Oscillator IP
CAMBRIDGE, UK —Agile Analog is now offering its new RC oscilla- tor IP. This is the first in a new family of analog IP blocks that the company is launching designed to make the integration of analog cir- cuits onto ASICs easy. The agileOSC RC is based
on a traditional architecture which allows the frequency to be trimmed to remove the effects of process variation. It can also be configured as a Free Running Clock (FRC) where a high accu- racy clock is not required. With a start-up time of typically 10 µs, it has a frequency range of 20 KHz to 100 MHz. It has a low power consumption of typically 100 µA at 10 MHz which is much less than an equivalent discrete ana- log component and highlights the benefit of integrating analog circuits onto the main chip. Traditionally, analog IP
blocks have to be manually redesigned for each application and process technology but Agile Analog has a unique way to auto- matically generate analog IP to exactly meet the customer’s spec- ifications and process technolo- gy. Called Composa™, it uses tried and tested analog IP cir- cuits that are in the company’s

and easily about any delays or changes of the departure gate. When implementing the maXcs software at Stuttgart Airport, DATA MODUL placed particular emphasis on per- fect interface functionality. Information such as flight data, weather data or information on public transport (ÖPNV) can be displayed clearly arranged using the software. It is also possible to integrate advertising. Interfaces to camera-based systems also enable reliable queue management, which can be used to
display estimated waiting times. Contact: DATA MODUL, Inc., 275
