CYPRESS, CA — Metcal has launched its new HCT-910 Hot Air Rework System. This hot air system is accurate and easy to use, with high thermal perform- ance capable of meeting the full spectrum of application require- ments needed for production and rework in electronics manufac- turing. The Metcal HCT-910 can
generate 900W of heat with a maximum temperature of 1,112°F (600°C). This expands the capability of the Metcal HCT-910 beyond standard ther- mal demand applications to higher thermal demanding ap- plications in military, defense, and aerospace, using highly met- alized circuit boards. The system incorporates a novel control method making it
Richardson Announces Powerful New GaN X-band
HPA from UMS GENEVA, IL — Richardson RFPD, Inc., has announced availability and full design sup- port capabilities for a new galli- um nitride high-power amplifier from United Monolithic Semicon- ductors. The CHA8312-99F is a two-
stage GaN HPA that operates from 8 to 12 GHz and provides 17W output power, 50 percent power added efficiency, and 26 dB small signal gain. The part is developed on a ro-
bust 0.15µ gate length GaN on SiC HEMT process and is avail- able as a bare die. The new device is ideal for
defense applications and is also suitable for a wide range of mi- crowave applications and sys- tems such as radar, test equip- ment and communication. Richardson RFPD, an Arrow
Electronics company, is a global leader in the RF, wireless, IoT and power technologies markets. It brings relationships with many of the industry’s top radio frequency and power component suppliers. Whether it’s designing compo- nents or engineering complete so- lutions, Richardson RFPD’s worldwide design centers and technical sales team provide com- prehensive support for customers’ go-to-market strategy, from proto-
type to production. Contact: Richardson RFPD, 1950 S. Batavia Avenue, Suite

easy to quickly adjust the tem- perature and airflow rates with- out looking away from the appli- cation. In addition, a multicolor status light on the handpiece is a visual cue to the operator regard- ing the current status of the unit. The Metcal HCT-910 im-
proves the user experience sig- nificantly by adding features such as on-the-fly manual con- trol which utilizes a single push- button knob to adjust, control, and quickly toggle between tem- perature and airflow. This intuitive design, in combination with accurate tem-
perature, and the performance of the 900W heater, will improve throughput while controlling a tight quality process. The Metcal HCT-910 can be
configured for any worldwide standard voltage and power out- lets. It also offers an intuitive user interface, multiple language settings, and a USB port to up- date software and power periph- erals such as fans, lights, cam- eras, or even a cell phone. The complete system for
each model includes the hot air tool, power cord, and hand-piece cradle to support a variety of sol-
dering and rework applications. Contact: Metcal, 10800 Val-
