SCHURTER Releases Single-Stage EMC Filter

Santa Rosa, CA — FMAD NEO is SCHURTER’s latest single-stage EMC filter series for three-phase systems with a neutral line. Especially compact with high performance, the new filter

designed for currents from 16 to 230A at an ambient temperature of 122°F (50°C). The standard versions can be used over a wide temperature range from –40 to +212°F (–40 to +100°C). They are ENEC and cURus approved and recommended for applications up to 520 VAC. The standard versions are designed for industrial applications with leakage currents less than 13 mA. Special versions for leakage-criti- cal applications of less than 3 mA are also available. The filter is chassis-mounted

series is suited for use in today’s more portable industrial machines. Like trends in electronic equip-

ment design, three-phase cabinets are increasingly downsized with the machinery they control. Accordingly, smaller components are required to optimize available space in the cabi- net. The FMAD NEO is a completely new filter design tailored for such applications. Almost cubed, it is much more compact than older rectangular generations, using the latest materi- als and components to achieve a remarkably high filter attenuation relative to its compact dimensions. The FMAD NEO is especially

suited for applications with high electromagnetic loads, such as con- verters for photovoltaic systems, bat- tery storage units or charging sta- tions for electric vehicles. It is a first choice for the latest developments in fast switching frequency inverters. The FMAD NEO filters are

with screw terminals for safe and reli- able wire terminations. A full metal flange guarantees good earth-ground connection. Six fixing holes are provid- ed, which allow for symmetrical

mounting, or asymmetrical mounting. Contact: SCHURTER, Inc., 447

Keystone Intros Vertical Mount Coin Cell Holder

New Hyde Park, NY — Keystone Electronics Corporation has intro- duced a new vertical mount coin cell holder that allows for top entry of the popular 2032, 2025 or 2 x 2016 lithi- um batteries. This top-loading holder joins Keystone’s full line of vertical 0.8 in. (20 mm) coin cell holders. Designed to retain cells securely

under shock and vibration, this new “Vibra-Fit” holder has a UL 94V-0 rated housing and tin plated brass contacts providing low contact resist- ant and simplified through-hole mounting on PCBs. The narrow profile holder

affords a minimal footprint for high- density PCB packages allowing users to stack two 2016 cells on top of each other to achieve 6V of power or for single cell 3V applications from the same board footprint. Suitable for circuit backup power, it accepts all major manufacturers’ batteries. The company’s extensive line of

battery hardware for SMT and THM applications includes clips, holders, retainers, and straps in a wide vari-

HARTING Develops Quick-Connect Interface

Elgin, IL — One of the core require- ments of flexible production is the ability to quickly install machines and modules, reconfigure them at will and operate them without dis- ruption. With its Han® ES Press HMC series, HARTING has devel- oped an interface that can be installed quickly without tools and is robust enough to be connected and disconnected 10,000 times.

The suffix “HMC” stands for

high mating cycles. The contact inserts are equipped with a pre-ten- sioned cage clamp that is triggered by an actuator. If the actuator is pushed into the contact chamber, the cage clamp returns to its original position and secures the conductor. Only a screwdriver is needed to release the connection. The ES Press HMC fits with

Han standard housing sizes 6B to 24B. The standard housings are already available in versions with locks and seals optimized for high

able in all types of harsh environ- ments, including high vibration. This is due to how tight the conductor sits as a result of the constant pressure of the cage clamp. Installation and connection times are reduced com- pared with conventional cage clamps, screw connections or hard wiring techniques. As a result, onsite installation time is reduced and fast
