October, 2019 Juki Highlights Advanced SMT Line Solutions
Morrisville, NC — Juki Automation Systems is showcasing its lineup of SMT solutions at productronica 2019. The company is highlighting its RS-1R and JM-100, as well as smart production systems.
The RS-1R pick-and-place sys-
tem will be on display at the show. In the past, the placement head had to be mounted high enough for the tallest component on the PCB, resulting in excess movement for short compo-

nents. The RS-1 now includes the com- pany’s Takumi head. The new Takumi head is a
dynamic-height, eight-nozzle placement head that automat- ically ad justs pick-and-place height on the fly to optimize speed, resulting in the highest possible CPH. With a new offline teach
camera and JaNets/NPI Plus software, the RS-1 provides easy data entry for faster pro- gramming for both standard SMT and odd-form parts. The JM-100 odd-form inserter automates the manual inser- tion process and is an advanced model for larger/ heavier components and big boards. The system can place or insert sur- face mount and through-hole compo- nents. The JM-100 accommodates multiple types of feeders with the widest component range in the elec- tronics industry. The company is also demonstrat-
ing its RX-7R, AOI, G-Titan, offline programming station, ISM 3600, and Autoload feeder. The new G-Titan
screen printer is equipped for lights- out manufacturing and quality print control, which is designed to sustain

Schaumburg, IL — Available in North America from HEIDENHAIN is a new version of the ETEL-brand AccurET controls with EtherCAT compatibility. As EtherCAT com-
munication moves from “mid-end” automation to more high-end machine control applications, de - mand for this has been increasing. With that in mind,
ETEL now allows its product users to take full advantage of its line of products while still being able to utilize this famil- iar fieldbus system. ETEL’s AccurET controls have

been utilizing its high-end TransnET proprietary fieldbus with a variety of
years. And now with an EtherCAT compatibility option, customers can utilize one of the most high-end con- trollers on the market without chang- ing their existing communication architecture and machine software. Using the standardized CoE
(CANopen over EtherCAT) protocol, any computer or PLC can be used as a master. One central computer con- trols all of the factory machinery by supporting a high number of nodes and a large variety of devices. It also does not require any product-specific development, which allows it to quickly integrate extra drives with- out developing new software, granti- ng a type of plug and play. With these new capabilities added to AccurET (compatible with Accur - ET48, AccurET300, AccurET400, and AccurET600), it is able to pro- vide advantages from its many fea- tures to high-end automation where complicated movements with high-
performance trajectories are needed. Contact: HEIDENHAIN Corp.,
