Indianapolis, IN — Specialty Coating Systems has introduced a new family of material application valves for the PrecisionCoat line of spray coating and dispense systems. As an indus- try leader in the design and manu- facturing of conformal coating sys- tems, SCS continues to develop coat- ing solutions that are highly reliable and focused on improving accuracy, repeatability, efficiency, and produc- tivity.
The new material application
valves deliver exceptional material handling in a modular configuration that brings more flexibility to a proj-
iTAC Expands Advanced MES-Based Production Planning
Southfield, MI —Efficient MES-based manufacturing also includes detailed order planning. The
iTAC.MES.Suite from iTAC Software AG has integrat- ed the Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) service GANTT- PLAN. The new 9.20.00 release of the
iTAC.MES.Suite includes innovations and extensions to the APS. From now on, the service will
enable the integration and planning of batch production based on the man- ufacturing version, as well as the cre- ation of order lots and the splitting of manufacturing orders. iTAC’s MES and industrial IoT
solutions support transparent, auto- mated production processes. The
iTAC.MES.Suite includes various services for networking, automation and analysis of production processes. The APS service for detailed order planning is one of the core elements of the system. A significant extension to the
APS function, which is available with the new release, aims to improve the planning of batch production. This makes it possible to integrate and plan serial manufacturing based on the respective production version. A production version represents
the combination of a routing with a bill of material (BOM). This deter- mines how a material is manufac- tured and which material quantities are required. Two production versions for the
same material can differ in the rout- ing, in the BOM, or in both the rout- ing and the BOM. Each production version has a validity period that is derived from the two data sets “valid from” and “valid until.” For each combination of routing and BOM, there is a component assignment for which the operations in the routing
require the materials. Contact: iTAC Software, Inc., 26801 Northwestern Highway,

ect without sacrificing quality or per- formance. For added control, SCS’ new spray valve design goes above and beyond traditional designs by integrating optional custom spacers to “micro” adjust the space between the air cap and material nozzle. Spacers can be placed between the air cap and valve body to increase or decrease the gap between the air cap and nozzle for even greater variation and control of the spray pattern and edge definition.
When it comes to valve mainte-
nance and care, the valves are designed to eliminate unnecessary parts and the complexity associated with routine valve maintenance and cleaning. With fewer parts, disas- sembling and reassembling processes are now easier and more efficient. In addition to the new family of valves, SCS also has improved valve mount- ing. Instead of securing a valve in place with two screws and verifying the valve is level, the valve mounting
grips and locks the valve in place with only one screw, ensuring the
valve is mounted square in position. Contact: Specialty Coating
