Heilind Now Offers Hirose FPC/FFC Connectors

Wilmington, MA —Heilind Elec tronics is now stocking the Hirose’s FH63 series FPC/FFC connectors. FH63 series connectors reduce assembly time and mating failure through the use of a single-action lock. The lock secures through a simple insertion of the FPC/FFC after mounting. FH63 series connectors also uti-

lize two-point independent spring beam contacts, which facilitates the removal of dust from the contact path, but also provides an alternate means of connection with the second contact, ultimately reducing contact

failure. FH63 series connectors offer EMI prevention through shielded FFC connections. Transmissions con- form to EDP (Embedded Display Port) 1.3, HDMI 1.4a, USB 3.0 and V-by-One HS. The connectors are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free and heat-resistant up to 221°F (105°C), which makes them suitable for the

automotive market. Contact: Heilind Electronics, 58

NK Technologies Releases Ground Fault Sensor

San Jose, CA — NK Technologies has introduced its AG-LC series, a new ground fault sensor that makes it easy to monitor larger circuits. The 2011 NEC requires ground fault protection of the main over-current device feed- ing marinas and boatyards, where these services often carry up to 800A. Most sensor designs do not allow the conductors to pass through a single sensing ring, requiring a separate sensing device, such as a zero- sequence current transformer. The AG-LC series resolves this issue with a large solid-core housing design that

provides ample space for multiple con- ductors to pass easily through one sensing window. Key applications include: moni-

toring large machines and detecting leakage to earth before the problem can cause damage; keeping pumping systems safe and in operation in water treatment and delivery; and shutting down generators and other equipment when leakage current exceeds hazardous levels. Highlights of the series include:

electromechanical relay output that provides both normally open and nor- mally closed contacts; compatibility with most automation and control systems; external power with a choice of failsafe or standard opera- tion; simple field setpoint adjust- ment; adjustable time delay; and

DIN-rail or panel-mount versions. Contact: NK Technologies, 3511
