The MMS-1000™ from 1st Detect is an affordable ion-trap mass spectrometer designed for field-portable and benchtop applications such as industrial process control, security and defense, critical infrastructure monitoring, food and beverage manufacturing, and laboratory analysis.
The instrument requires less than 1 ft2 of benchtop
space, has a weight of 17lb, a mass range of 30–450amu, and a resolution of less than 0.5amu. It provides ppb level analysis in less than 2s, with ppt analysis in 30s with the optional preconcentrator. The versatile instrument can also be customised to a variety of applications.
