Introducing the Quest ATR Accessory

High Quality Accessories for the Spectroscopic Industry

Specac is a high quality manufacturer of accessories for the spectroscopic industry and beyond for over 35 years. During that time Specac has constantly been a market leader, bringing new and innovative solutions to the market place.

Specac’s spectroscopic accessory products cover a range of techniques, including ATR, Diffuse Reflectance, Specular Reflectance and Transmission. Providing the right solution for any sample in any state and under any conditions.

Specac also produces a wide range of laboratory sample preparation products for making pellets, discs or films for analysis. The ‘Atlas’ range of presses and dies offer the right pressing solution for your needs, ranging from small low tonnage manual hydraulic presses to 40 ton fully programmable automatic presses. These presses have been developed for use in the preparation of samples FTIR, XRF and XRD analysis.

Specac produces a large range of polariser’s including standard, high-extinction ratio and wire grid in a clean room facility. They use a variety of different substrates in diameters from 25 to 75mm.

The Quest is the latest ATR accessory from Specac; it is a performance single-reflection ATR accessory designed for laboratory spectroscopic sample analysis in the mid- and far-infrared.

The Quest's innovative optical design is based around all reflective gold-coated optics, and features Specac's Synopti-Focal Array technology with precision-moulded aspheric mirrors.

These features allow for a high throughput accessory with an extended wavelength capability suitable for both mid and far-IR spectroscopy.

The key features are:

• Strong and durable monolithic diamond, ideal for analysing hard, inflexible solid materials

• It has an extended wavelength capability from 10,000 to 40 wavenumbers

• High spectral quality and high throughput

• Interchangeable diamond, ZnSe and Ge crystal puck options

Four interchangeable ATR crystal pucks are available for the Quest:

• High throughput diamond • Extended wavelength diamond •ZnSe •Ge

Each puck is made from hardened stainless steel and is held in place on the accessory magnetically making them easily interchangeable without requiring additional alignment.

The Quest sets the benchmark in performance and value for ATR spectroscopy.

The uest ATR: a journey into performance and value

• Strong and durable Monolithic Diamond

• High throughput • Wavelength range 10,000cm-1 to 40cm-1

• All reflective optics • Swinging torque limited bridge • Interchangable crystal top-plates • Crystal options (Diamond, ZnSe & Germanium)

The Quest is the most significant innovation in IR spectroscopy in over 10 years.
