Maximum operation safety with minimum operation effort and perfect measurement results for unattended 24 hour operation: that’s provided only by the fully integrated Self Check System (SCS) of the multi N/C®
series.
This self-monitoring of the device permanently and automatically controls all the parameters which are important for device safety and quality of the analysis. As an intelligent combination of hardware components and software functions, it ensures the trouble-free operation of the entire analytical system. Parameters, such as gas flows, temperatures, pressures, system tightness, detector status, baseline stability, maintenance intervals etc. are constantly checked.
Thereby the SCS works hand in hand with the auto-protection assembly. This effective measuring gas drying and cleaning, which operates completely without the use of chemical drying agents, is monitored by integrated temperature and pressure sensors. If any tolerance levels are exceeded, the SCS assures an automatical shutdown in or order to protect high-value system components.
Furthermore the automatic gas-leak check avoids scattering of measuring results or false low readings caused by gas leaks or flow fluctuations. This way
TOC/TNb analysis becomes child’s play and system operation even without expert knowledge or experiences is no problem.

Flexibility Beyond any Limits – multi N/C®
With a multi N/C® analyser the parameters TOC, NPOC, POC, TC,
TIC and TNb can be measured quickly, easily and without any conversion. This is
possible thanks to the perfect combination of an efficient sample digestion technology, VITA® Management System and Focus Radiation NDIR
Flow
detector. TOC and TNb are measured truly simultaneously, with a single injection and without any exchange of catalyst or method. A chemiluminescence detector (CLD) or a solid state chemodetector (ChD) ensure quantitative and reliable measurement of all organic and inorganic nitrogen compounds. With variable injection techniques suitable for most diverse sample volumes and with an intelligent rinsing technique, there are no compromises for particle containing samples. Due to temperatures of up to 1300 °C and sample amounts of up to 3 g, the solids module HT 1300 guarantees representative TOC measurement results, even in samples with a low level of homogeneity. And the worldwide unique double furnace technology offers a supplementary alternative for solids analysis.
