Members are pleased that the Garden Fête on July 1st was once again such a huge success, both socially and fi- nancially, and the sun shone brightly for this annual event. The day did not just happen as the decision to go ahead with the Fête was taken months ago, when the dedicated work started.

July 2018

It was worth it all and thanks go to the

Committee Members and helpers who not alone gave of their time beforehand, but from 1pm on the day until evening were there arranging stands and clearing away afterwards- sincere thanks to all who helped and support- ed the Fête and special thanks to all who donated prizes, vouchers, etc. A few further results that came to hand; ’Guess the weight of the cake’- Margaret Cashman.‘Guess the amount of blocks’- Simon Coady. ‘Best dressed doll and teddy bear’- there was such a tremendous response to these competi- tions that the Chairperson decided to award each com- petitor with a Rosette, as it was difficult to pick a winner. They each also received a prize a so it was a happy ending for all concerned
