East Cork Music Project’s Second Gig For 2017-2018 Took Place In Midleton
The East Cork Music
Project’s second gig of the 2017-18 year took place at An Teach Beag in Mid- leton earlier this week. Participants on the
QQI Level 5 course in Music and Level 4 in Employment Skills per- formed rock, pop and country songs, in front of a packed house, at Banners’. Speaking after Tuesday night’s gig, Eime- ar Hurley from ECMP, said; ‘‘The event was a huge success. Judging from their performances and their professionalism, there are great

ty more opportunities to see these talented young musicians in action as they are set to perform as part the Midleton Life-
long Learning Festival in March and the Midleton Arts Festival in May.’’ East Cork Music Pro-
ject is committed to pro- moting, supporting and encouraging music and
other art forms by provid- ing innovation, high qual- ity training and develop- ment, using the medium of music and arts to en- gage young people aged 16 to 25 who have not

“The Gospel of Life” Youghal Parish Council presents the 2018 Parish Lenten programme “The Gospel of Life” explores our under- standing of the Gospel call to love. The call to welcome refugees and migrants, taking care of our common home and the right to life of the unborn are explored. This is a 4 week programme developed by the Council of Cat- echetics of the Irish Bishops Conference. We encourage everyone to participate in this exciting initiative from the PPC. There are 2 sessions, morning or evening held over 4 weeks in the Parish Office Building, 3 Emmet Place, Youghal on Wednesday mornings starting February 28th, 11.00am start, with tea/cofffee at 10.30 am and Thursday, March 1st at 7.30 pm. Each session lasts 90 minutes. We look forward to seeing you
all.This is the first Lenten initiative of the new Parish Pastoral Council in Youghal and all support would be very welcome.
