Mhuire Open Day A Great Success

in Youghal welcomed par- ents and children to come appraise their wonderful amenities at the school and enroll their children for the upcoming school year at this year’s open day. Vis- itors to the school were greeted upon entry by the school choir singing beau- tiful songs and refreshment were available, organised by the PA. Each visitor was designated two 6th

students as they went on to tour the rest of the school for a first hand glimpse of


what the school really has to offer which include a huge variety of activities such as


Aistear, Ready


Set go maths, School Choir, Cookery Kitchen, Lunchtime clubs, Dance, Swimming , G.A.A, Ath- letics , Soccer , Basketball, Football and Chess Club. The school also has an Interactive playground , A.S.D. Unit , Multisenso- ry Intervension Rainbow room and a large basket- ball Court. The open day was a huge success. Well done to Maire O’Brien, all the members of the Com- mittee and all the pupils involved.

Fundraiser in aid of Youghal Lifeboat A charity Art Demo with Patsy O’Mahony in aid of Youghal Lifeboat will be held on Saturday 24 February at 11am, at the Blackwater Garden Centre. “Happy Feet” Walking Club Did you know that Walking is a near perfect form of physical activity; it’s free, family friendly, suitable for all fitness levels and a great exercise for improving our heart health. The “Happy Feet” walking club meets every Monday morning at 11am at the Community Health Project in Blackwater Heights.
