Eclipse International Solidifies Brand Consistency With Four New Nationwide Programs By Brooke S. Pisarsky

In a significant strategy shift, Eclipse Inter- national is introducing a complete national merchandising program of four mattress collections that will be manufactured by the company’s U.S. licensees. This is the first time the company’s complete slate of Las Vegas Market introductions will be a true nation- al lineup. Developed with input and buy-in from the licensees, the new collections will be manufactured using specific, proprietary components and following established stan- dard operating procedures. Earlier this year, Eclipse named industry vet-

eran Russ Bowman to develop and lead a new quality control program. The winter Las Vegas Market will see the debut of the company’s first, comprehensive lineup using components and processes mandated for use in making the mattresses. Bowman is visiting the facto- ries to ensure consistency in manufacturing. “This move solidifies our commitment to brand consistency across the U.S.,” said Stu-

art Carlitz, president and CEO of Eclipse. “This marks the first time in our history that all of our new products will be manufactured to stan- dard specifications throughout our domestic licensing network. Each of the introductions was developed with integrated input from our licensees during our recent national licensing summit to secure a successful rollout.” Eclipse International’s market introductions include a variety of constructions and price points to give retailers a broad selection of products to drive consumer traffic and sales. From its Chittenden & Eastman label, Eclipse introduces a natural story with a three-bed line up that is priced to retail from $1,799 to $2,499. The beds feature latex and organic wool combined with two different types of pocketed coils. Shown in a blue and silver knit ticking, the beds are made with deep, traditional tufting for an elegant design. Four new beds from Eastman House fea-

ture the company’s new Dual Vertical System, a combination of two different coil units inte-

grated to deliver superior support and com- fort, and layers of memory foam and latex. Designed with a sophisticated charcoal and graphite color ticking, the beds are priced to retail at $999, $1,299 and $1,499. The Harmony and Serene collections fea- ture the Eclipe’s patented Spinal Zone Sleep System, designed with more center support to help eliminate back pain. Available in firm, plush and pillowtop, the mattresses feature pocketed foam-encased coils, a knit ticking and herringbone border. These lines deliver sharp pricing with the Harmony set to retail at $599 and $699 and the Serene priced at $799 and $899.

Eclipse’s final market introduction is the

Velika, a customizable, European-style bed designed with side sleepers in mind. This new mattress allows consumers to select their own color and uses a comfort topper to help adjust comfort levels. Visit eclipsemattress.com
