This is a straightforward concept and similar to the Kiss Cam; you can tie it into songs like ‘Take Me Out to the Ballgame’ or some type of contest. Let your customers know they might be featured on the big screen when they buy their treats.
Big board blowouts
At sporting events, the various mascots will often race against each other. Ballpark guests will interact with this fun event with minimal prompting. Instead of mascots, you could have the various concession items race, do a mix up (like a shell game), or be part of trivia contest. The “winner” could be discounted at the stands for a limited amount of time. This would be a great way to blow out overstocked items or showcase new products.
The golden ticket
Everyone wants to be the one. Feature one food item, or a few per week, that will have a special logo somewhere on the packaging. The lucky guest(s) can then win a big prize like courtside or box
seats – pick seats not in use or feature a corporate partner who donated the prize. You could also offer tickets for an upcoming event, which could also help with repeat sales.
Do the unexpected
Don’t get comfortable. Once you’ve begun new programmes, keep your guests guessing and they’ll keep coming back just to see what you will do next. Brainstorm ideas with your team. You never know where the next big idea will come from; challenge everyone to
