TIA Welcomes Five New Members to Its Board of Directors


Representatives from Alcatel-Lucent, Motorola, OneChip Photonics, Walker & Associates and Wirefree join board overseeing association that advocates for broadband equipment manufacturers


The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), which represents the manufacturers of broadband equipment, products and services for the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, announced that it has elected five new members to its Board of Directors.


The new board members are:


Allison Cerra, Chief Marketing Officer, Americas Region, for Alcatel-Lucent


Jim Hjartarson, CEO of OneChip Photonics Anil Kripalani, President of WirefreeCom Mike Pellon, Vice President, Standards and Commercialization for Motorola Mark Walker, President of Walker & Associates

Chip foundry revenues to jump 40% in 2010

Following the 11% decline of chip demand a year ago, at the worst point of the global recession, industry researcher iSuppli now predicts a record revenue of $24.82 billion this year, up from $17.79 billion a year earlier.
