WHEN PLUMBING MERCHANT, BBS Plumbing & Heating Supplies decided to start selling Fibo bathroom wall panels, they decided to do it in style. Rather than installing a lone wall panel in a corner of their Barton Hill branch in Bristol, the merchants went the whole hog and ripped out their entire showroom, replacing it with a fully refurbished display area, covered almost entirely with Fibo bathroom wall panels!
With over 20 complete new bays installed, Fibo wall panels now cover over 10sq m of wall space at BBS – making it the largest Fibo wall panel display area in Europe.
BBS managing director Lee Hooper says: “Fibo came highly recommended. It offers a full product range suitable for both the contractor and the retail market and that appealed to me. I was attracted by the quality of the product – in fact I was quite simply blown away by the tile effect styles. Not only do the panels look like ceramic tiles, but they feel like them too!”
Discussions between Fibo and BBS began in the summer set of panels in the entrance to their branch. Following initial staff training in the early autumn and the provision of swatches and samples, as well as displaying POS, discussions then turned to driving sales through the branch on a larger scale.
Refurbishment programme
Work began on dismantling the old showroom at the end of January 2017 and following an extensive refurbishment programme lasting around six weeks, the showroom was completed mid-March. Staff have been looking forward to showing off their new sales area and promoting the
