INVESTMENT LEVEL: £39,950 I
n a momentous double celebration, not one but two Expense Reduction Analysts (ERA) franchise partners have renewed their franchise agreements after 20 years in the business. Ross McNaughton and Neil Cullen were two of ERA’s fi rst franchise partners in the UK. Now, expressing a love for the brand, their colleagues and the work that they do, both have committed to another decade as members of the ERA franchise family. At 67 and 62 years of age, you’d be forgiven for thinking Ross and Neil might be considering a change of pace. But, as Ross explains, thanks to his franchise, he continues to enjoy a great work-life balance and fi nancial rewards on a daily basis: “I make a very good living and have a great lifestyle! My wife and I have been able to indulge in our love of travel and have visited most places that we’d ever want to go. We’ve increased the overall value of the properties that we’ve lived in and it’s safe to say my net worth has increased quite dramatically.” Citing everything from the strength and skill within the current network to the investment, support and innovation from the head offi ce, both men confi rmed their decision to renew was one they were confi dent and proud to make.
“One thing’s for sure – this has never, and will never, feel like a nine-to-fi ve job”
“A huge factor in my decision was that there’s so much knowledge, skill and experience in the network now – it’s easily the strongest it’s ever been,” says Neil. “Management continually aims to improve the business for all concerned and there’s a real feeling of camaraderie. “I’m always impressed by the appetite to
nurture growth from within and the focus on innovation. New tools are forever being created to help us work more effi ciently and the things that head offi ce produce now, like marketing and technical info that

we release to the market, are second to none. I’m proud to be a part of it.” The pair met with managing director, Rob Allison, at the group offi ce in Southampton to toast the double renewal with a glass of champagne! Rob says: “We’re delighted that both Ross and Neil are going to be with us for another 10 years. The knowledge and skill they continue to bring to the network is invaluable. The fact that they still love what they do and have the same, if not more, passion and enthusiasm for their businesses is a proud testament to everything we’ve built together over the last 20 years.” Proving that consistency and determination is the key to success, Ross ranked as the second-highest earner in the network in his 19th year in the business. And when it comes to the future, it’s full steam ahead! “I’m looking forward to more of the same!” Ross enthused. “One thing’s for sure – this has never, and will never, feel like a nine-to-fi ve job. You do your best and get the best rewards: fi nancial stability and success, personal relationships and friendships. The business is equally as rewarding personally as it is fi nancially
– one thing feeds the other. It’s been extremely enjoyable and I’ve never thought of leaving!”.
Neil added: “ERA has enabled me to do things both for myself and my family that I wouldn’t have been able to do on my own. A property in Florida, a beautiful home and I’m virtually mortgage-free – for me, the next 10 years are about adding to that success… and beating Ross to highest earner, of course!” For ERA, ‘enjoy the journey’ is a motto that has formed an essential part of the company’s culture. As well as striving to deliver the very best in training, product innovation and support, it places as much value on its franchise partners’ happiness as it does on their fi nancial success. With 30-year commitments like Ross and Neil’s, the results speak for themselves!
