BBT ROUNDS UP THE LATEST BUSINESS TRAVEL INDUSTRY APPOINTMENTS
LOUISE HUTCHINSON-CHAMBERS After almost 25 years at Thomas Cook, Louise Hutchinson-Chambers joins Redfern as head of account management. Her appointment comes as Redfern continues to invest in business development to facilitate further growth.
RODOLFO ELIZONDO American Express GBT has appointed Rodolfo Elizondo as vice-president and head of global business consulting. He has more than 15 years of travel, hospitality and consulting experience at global firms based in both the US and Mexico.
KARELLE LAMOUCHE Accorhotels UK and Ireland has named Karelle Lamouche senior vice-president for economy and budget hotels. She has worked for Accor since 2003, and most recently served as vice-president of marketing, communications and corporate social responsibility.
RICHARD LOVELOCK Richard Lovelock has been appointed general manager for International Travel Partnership (ITP). He has more than 30 years’ experience with airlines and multinational travel management networks, working in sales, account management and supplier relations.
KARAM CHAND
Karam Chand moves from chief commercial and planning officer to CEO of Royal Brunei Airlines. Chand held his previous position for nearly four years. He has more than 20 years’ experience with various airlines and holds an MSc in air transport management.
CHRIS FOY Visit Britain and Visit England have appointed Chris Foy as head of business visits and events, where he will lead the strategy to contribute to the growth of business tourism in Britain. Foy has been with Visit Britain since 2003, in various senior roles.
TESS MATTISSON Tess Mattisson has been appointed director of European marketing for Choice Hotels International. She will lead the company’s marketing, online, social media, brand, loyalty and PR strategy in Europe.
SALLY LOPEZ Hard Rock International (HRI) has appointed Sally Lopez as regional director of global sales – Europe, where she will lead the efforts for HRI’s sales, account management and business development functions in the UK and Europe.
ANDREW COWAN Andrew Cowan has moved from his position as chief strategy officer of Manchester Airports Group (MAG) to divisional CEO of London Stansted airport. Prior to this new appointment, Cowan served as COO of MAG and managing director of Manchester airport.

SARANJIT SOOR Key Travel has appointed Saranjit Soor as its new chief technology officer. He arrives with more than 15 years’ experience and expertise in digital services and will assist in launching the company’s online booking service.
MIA ANDERSSON
Mia Andersson has joined the GBTA (Global Business Travel Association) as a member of its European Advisory Board. She has more than 25 years of travel management experience, and at the GBTA she will manage the global business travel demand for more than 30 countries.
MARTIN FERGUSON American Express GBT has appointed Martin Ferguson as director of communications and public affairs, EMEA. Ferguson is a former editor of BBT, and also headed the corporate communications team in EMEA for Sabre Holdings.
