the Beamish Cup tonight. It was a really tough cup game

done lads great win, and a semi final spot as reward. Next up for the Magpies is the important
league
game v Carrigaline on Tuesday night at 7.30 in knockgriffin, again come up and support the lads in push for promotion.
Cork Youth League
Midleton 4 V 3 Mayfield. Midleton Youth team
completed their league season with another win at home. Winning 4-3 to Mayfield. Midleton fin- ished third in the league winning 11 matches drew 1 and lost 5. Midleton challenged all season at the top and lost out by 3 points in the end. Con- grats to Mark Duggan team coach for doing such a good job with this bunch of players who have im-
proved so much over the season and to all the play- ers who worked so hard at training and match day to achieve success.

aged by our own Sarah Healy competed in the Viking Cup at the RSC in Waterford with our play- ers Shannon Cremin and Aoife Mitchell involved.
U16 Girls Cup Semi Final Bandon 2 Midleton 4 An early goal from a
Lauren Linehan free kick settled our girls and we could have been further ahead before Aoife found
the net after half an hour from a perfect
ball by Shannon. Half time
came
through but
Bandon struck early with as sweet a volley as you will ever see. I think this unsettled our girls a little but
Shannon managed
to stretch our lead before they scored from another corner. Another nervous period followed as both sides failed to take chanc- es. Then with 5 minutes left
another breakaway
found Shannon who made no mistake. This was a true team performance from Shauna who was rock sol- id to the back four (Lucy, Lauren & the 2 Ashling’s) who had a lot to deal with and stood tall. Our mid- field that included Grace, Rachel, Niamh, Holly, Aoife, Emma, Roisin and Chi chi at different times and Shannon and Lily up front worked so hard up and down a pitch that had very high grass and sapped a lot of energy. Certainly a huge achievement for this bunch of girls who have done everything over the years to get to an occasion like this. Good luck and enjoy the final. Team: Shauna Horgan,

to our U12 girls who were superb tonight with a 1-0 win away to Carrigaline. This was a tough phys-
ical game and each of the girls was superb as they battled hard for every ball. Jill Connaughton in goal was on form today and pulled off some dramatic saves. Our goal came in the 15th
