well taking the lead with a fine point from Martin Hennessy and then goal- ing through James Leahy who had a fine first half, he also pointed as we extend- ed our lead to six points by the quarter mark. Kilbrit- tain throughout the match kept coming back at us and they goaled and point- ed to bring the lead down to two points. We steadied the ship with a monster point from Bill Ahern and further points from Niall Motherway and Sean He- garty as we led by three points at half time. Second half we started

brightly with Ryan Den- ny to the fore with points from play and frees but just as our lead was looking good another goal brought Kilbrittain closer to us. We made a number of subs giving everyone game time with Kieran Ahearne and Paudie Harney slotting in well in the back line. The forwards led by Martin Hennessy responded with points from Martin and then the two Stephan’s McCarthy and Hickey. A super sideline cut by Ryan pushed as out ahead again by six. With time up they goaled as a ball came back off the post and they re- sponded quicker than us, another free from Ryan settled the nerves as the ref blew for a three point win. A good win with cham- pionship round the corner and a number of good displays from Bill Ahern, Ryan Denny and Martin Hennessy who hurled a pile of ball. Team 1. Dave Hen-
