Allstars. This was my first signing where I actually read from the book. I asked the audience to choose a band they wanted me to read about. We discussed Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Broth- ers mostly, and I took random questions before the signing. Huge thanks to Rachel Watkins for bringing me to Avid. Another dream came true on

Author panel at Fiction Addiction, Greenville, SC.

Greenville, SC (www.fiction-addiction.com). I was a part of "Men of the South Meet the Women of Asheville," author panel, Q&A, and signing. Besides myself, there was Carl T. Smith (Matthew's Island); Jeffrey Stayton (This Side of the River); along with Asheville authors Jamie Mason (author of Monday's Lie [see review this issue!] and Three Graves Full); Megan Shepherd (author of The Madman's Daughter YA trilogy, including new book A Cold Legacy); and Katherine Howe (author of the YA novel Conversion). There was a great crowd, great questions, and I enjoyed meeting all of the great authors. Store owner Jill Hendrix has got it going on! Her store is fabulous, and the lady knows how to host an event. Thanks again Jill! The tour headed down to Athens, Georgia

on Friday, April 10, 2015 to kick off a five-day road trip. Avid Bookshop in Athens (www.avidbookshop.com) is one cool book store. Perfect for UGA students as well as everyone else. The staff hooked us up with beverages and it was soon time for the sign- ing. We had a small but enthusiastic crowd and I really enjoyed meeting everyone. It was a nice surprise seeing Larry Germain again. I had not seen him since 2005, when he was bassist for Tommy Crain & The Crosstown

Sunday, April 12th when we held a book signing and concert at The Allman Brothers Band Big House & Museum in Macon, Georgia. (www.thebighousemuseum.com) The director of The Big House,

Robert Schneck, has “been there, done that” in the music industry, having worked for a major record label and worked with Gov’t Mule. Robert was kind enough to book me for a signing, and my first thoughts were to have some Southern Rock artists perform. I must admit, I was quite inspired by Galadrielle All- man and her fabulous book Please Be With Me, and having seen John Charles Griffin’s photos of the event, I knew I wanted to have my signing there too. A group of us, including a few of my spe-

cial guests, met for lunch at The Rookery. While we were lunching, the skies opened up with a torrential rain. By the time we all got to the Big House the rain was coming down like
