Billy Bob: Well, we have had a lot of offers. Right now the last date of this tour is May 2nd. We kind of made a horse shoe through the South and up through the midwest. Offers are coming in for some festivals this summer, and they’re wanting to book another tour, and we are talking to another band about going out with them. So there’s a lot going on, we just have to figure out what we are up to. The good news is ... let’s let J.D. expound upon what’s going on with all of the unreleased al- bums you asked about earlier.

Buffalo: Funny you would mention that. As you know, you guys have kindly shared the music with me over the years, and I have this recurring dream - and I am dead serious - in which all of the unreleased albums come out in something called The Mas- ters Box, by the Boxmasters. Get it? (Laughing at my own pun.) Besides the albums, it has a really nice liner notes and photos book. Of course I wrote the liner notes! And there are all sorts of extras, including photos, stick- ers, a cloth patch to sew onto your denim jacket, a bottle opener, and a live DVD. Cool huh?

(At this point, Alan Jenkins [owner of Merri- mack Hall] walks up and starts telling every- one about the food in the catering room- fried chicken, etc and he highly recommends the salad with warm bacon dressing. We chat for a minute before J.D. addresses the unreleased works question.) JD: So, all those records that you heard. We are going to start making them available on the website very soon. I just remixed Provi- dence so I’ll have to send you the new version of that one. We’re probably going to put out something every month or so. Some of it will be things that didn’t fit onto those records, like little EP’s or the weirder stuff. We’re gonna just start emptying the catalog - just

making it available. If people want to hear it they can. We’ve just got so much stuff, we needed a way to get it out.

Buffalo: Is there any more Boxmasters news you want to share? JD: That’s pretty much the big news right there, for the moment anyway. Billy Bob: We’re gonna go back in the studio and record another three or four records. (Laughs) JD: Exactly.

Buffalo: Oh, you mean by the end of the year? (Everyone Laughs) Teddy: There actually are five new songs. Brad: There’s even more than that. We’ve recorded seven or eight new ones since the last record got finished. JD: And there are all these other songs that Billy and Brad wrote before The Boxmasters. I don’t even want to think about going back into that stuff! Billy Bob: And I’ve got my song “Honolulu,” about the only guy who had never been to Hawaii. (Everyone laughs). It talks about how even bums have been to Hawaii. (More laughs)

Buffalo: Well, I’m about finished but I would be remiss if I didn’t ask you what’s going on in your other life as an actor. Billy Bob: I just finished a movie with Tina Fey over in New Mexico.

Buffalo: I bet she is fun to work with. Billy Bob: Oh, she’s great. And I’ve got a movie coming out later in the year called Lon- don Fields. (with Johnny Depp). That was shot in London. And if the good Lord’s willin’ and the creek don’t rise, we’re going to be filming the sequel to Bad Santa starting in October. • Be sure to visit theboxmasters.com for news, updates and tour merch!
