reviewed earlier by Phillip Smith, and just owned the stage. With Teddy “Zig Zag” An- dreadis on keys, Brad on guitar, JD Andrew on guitar and Bud Thornton on vocals, the Boxmasters sounded amazing. For this tour they hired two excellent side men on bass and drums. Sadly, Bubba Bruce is not yet able to return to his position as drummer following his motorcycle accident a little over a year ago. Too bad, Bubba is the man. Throughout the remainder of the show, JD
and Brad traded off guitar licks and the whole band simply rocked, closing with an encore of “That Mountain,” one of The Boxmasters best loved songs to end a stellar concert. A little birdie told me that the band is most
likely going to add more dates in August, and hopefully closer to my neck of the woods. If they do, expect another rave review in our next issue.

The band hit the stage, sans the suits and
ties they usually wear, sporting jeans and looking more like a Southern rock band than the ‘60’s modbilly look. They came out of the gate smoking with “Emily,” a song from one of Billy Bob’s pre-Boxmasters solo albums, and tore through a set that included songs from their new album, Somewhere Down The Road, as well as tunes from their debut and its follow up, Modbilly. They also played a few as of yet unreleased songs, like the excellent “Providence” and “Desperation Parade.” Halfway through the show, they brought
the house lights up for a question and answer session. These are always fun, and this night was no different. Great fun. Earlier in the day Billy had visited with a
group of special needs kids that meet at Mer- rimack, and at the show he dedicated his song “Beautiful” to them. (Read more about the great work done by Debra and Alan Jenkins and Merrimack at

Devon Allman Bottleneck Blues Bar St. Charles, Missouri April 3, 2015 There is a new blues house in town, I am
referring to the Bottleneck Blues Bar in St. Charles, Missouri. It is the brain child of Devon Allman, who has partnered up with The Ameristar Casino to bring blues Friday nights to this historic town near St. Louis. On Friday, April 3, 2015 after cutting the
blue ribbon, the show got started with the opening act Steve Pecaro, with Richard Plumb on bass and Gene Guzman on drums. The man of the night, headliner Devon All-
man and his band - Bobby Schneck Jr on gui- tar, Steve Duerst on Bass and Anthony Nanney on Drums took the stage before a sold out audience. It was a magical night in front of the hometown crowd.
