was a party, and it was just beginning. As a guitar player, I was super envious of

Charlie Starr’s collection. He played various guitars throughout the show, from Gibsons to

Fenders, a Dan Armstrong acrylic and many others. Of course, he was so good he made want to never try to play again.(LOL) The set rocked from beginning to end, and

the crowd went absolutely nuts over a handful of the songs, including “the anthem,” “I Feel a Good One Comin’ On” and the ever popular sing-along, “Ain’t Got The Blues Anymore.” I just thought I had been rocked during this

excellent show. When the time came for the encore, Smoke sent me completely over the edge with a dead on cover of Black Sabbath’s “Fairies Wear Boots.” Fellow babies, in my mind, it was 1974 again! They just tore it up, and then wrapped it all up with their rocking “Ain’t Much Left of Me.” There’s not much left to say about this

show. As a Southern Rock fan from the very beginning, I have recently longed for the feel- ing I used to get when I attended those ‘70’s shows by the Allmans, Skynyrd, Tucker and all the rest. I mean, they still play, and it’s great, but Blackberry Smoke made me want to rock and roll again.
