Besides working with Mr. Melman, I also worked for a hugely talented chef named Michael Altenberg. Michael further fueled my passion for food by introducing me to new products and teaching me about his farm-to- table philosophy. When Brinker International purchased Maggiano’s, I was able to continue my growth with a company that truly loves to make guests feel special.
Currently, I am working as a general manager and managing partner for Maggiano’s in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Our goal at Maggiano’s is to give something extra to our guests in all that we do. We provide a beauti- ful, unique building and a variety of services, including banquets and delivery. We take a great deal of pride in our homemade Italian American cuisine, and we always remember where our roots are with recipes that have made us famous.
As a company, everything we do is geared towardmaking people feel special and trying to make everyday functions feel like special occa- sions. As for my role in particular, I am happy and grateful for the many good relationships I have forged with teammates, guests and ven- dor partners. It is great to work in an environ- ment where - from vendors to guests - folks are trying to create memorable experiences that will have guests returning to us year-after- year.
I feel very fortunate to have started work at 18 years old in a place that was guest-focused. Here I am, more than twenty years later, and the goal of providing great hospitality is still the same as it was then.
I credit this drive and
determination to the many people over the years who have coached me and worked with me as I developed my career. These days, I really enjoy trying to identify that hospitality spark in teammates and I help them to devel- op their own passion while coaching them to new places in their careers.
