Home2 Suites by Hilton Philadelphia recently opened in Philadelphia less than a block from the convention center and in the heart of Center City. This 246-room hotel is in an ideal location for those in town on business as well as for those simply seeking a leisurely getaway.


The Rittenhouse, a renowned Philadelphia hotel, continues its $10 million transformation with the debut of five new Park Suites and a reno- vated event space for up to 130 peo- ple called Boathouse. Additionally, re- imagined public spaces on its second and fourth floors are part of the hotel’s larger transformation, which includes a new Library Bar and an enhanced tea program at the Mary Cassatt Tea Room.


Among the most highly anticipated enhancements at The Rittenhouse are the aforementioned Park Suites. These five hospitality suites marry refined design with practical function- ality and comfort. The suites boast expansive floor plans up to 1,330- square feet and enchanting tree-top views of Rittenhouse Square. The adjoining third-floor Gallery corridor boasts carefully curated collections of historic Philadelphia books and art- work, providing a private arrival expe- rience exclusively for these suites.


A 2,000-foot long concrete boardwalk is in development along the eastern shore of the Schuylkill River connect- ing Locust Street to the south side of the South Street bridge. The board- walk will be ADA accessible while also granting easy access to bicy- clists. A 15-foot wide pathway will include four widened overlooks allow- ing pedestrians and cyclists a place to rest and take in the surrounding scenery. The project is expected to be completed in late 2014.

Another Kimpton hotel in Philadelphia, the Hotel Palomar Philadelphia, is one of the city's most striking examples of Art Deco design - a land- mark 1929 building that has been restored to its original grandeur and beyond. The Hotel Palomar is now the city's only LEED Gold Certified eco-friendly hotel. It boasts high-speed wireless Internet access, Square 1682 Restaurant, an on site fitness facility, and even pet-friendly services and amenities.

The Perelman Quadrangle in Philadelphia offers flexible spaces where innovation and leadership occur naturally in a creative, extraordinary and unforgettable environment. Its wide variety of spaces range from historic to contemporary, but all feature built-in ambiance and cutting- edge technology. Built in 1896, Houston Hall is a conference center with character. The oldest student union building in the country, it fea- tures fourteen special event spaces, and is equipped with multimedia technology and a food court, as well as vending and retail space.


The Perelman Quad’s Main Hall was built in 1932 and features seating for up to 1,259. This space also houses the Curtis organ, the eleventh
