Banquet set up as part of a convention and trade show at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, DE

The Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware, is the largest con- vention and trade show/special event facility within the Brandywine Valley. Situated along the city’s revitalized river- front, Chase Center offers more than 87,000-square feet of versatile space that’s ideal for corporate meetings, confer- ences, trade shows, conventions and more. Spacious meeting rooms are equipped with a range of audio-visual capabilities, and the venue also houses a 250-fixed-seat auditorium, dedicated open exhibit space and two ballrooms.

In addition to ample breakout spaces and an exhibit floor for accommodating con- sumer and trade shows, Chase Center offers plenty of amenities and personal attention from its professional staff. The center hosts public trade shows, as well as those associated with a conference. Networking on site with exhibitors and also with competitors in the same market can be invaluable.

“Many good conversations that lead to new ways of accomplishing goals, market- ing, etc. are just as important as meeting with exhibitors regarding their product,” said Mikki Brockstedt, director of sales for

Chase Center on the Riverfront. “At most trade shows, exhibitors are knowledge- able about their products and skilled in sharing and showing them to those look- ing for information.”

Brockstedt said that trade shows are par- ticularly valuable to a host site like Chase Center because of the amount of expo- sure that they provide to the facility.

While attendees are browsing the booths and exhibitors are showcasing their prod- ucts, the staff of the show organizers, along with help from the venue’s top- notch team, ensures that the trade show runs seamlessly. As the show unfolds, the venue is able to showcase all of its attrib- utes and make a positive impression on all parties. This encourages the organizer to want to bring the show back to the host site, the exhibitors to want to return for future shows, and attendees to value their experience and perhaps even bring a col- league along the next time around.

Riverfront Audio Visual provides trade show services, including power, connec- tivity, computer services, event staging, presentation management and more at Chase Center. Customized exhibit pack-

ages and add-ons are available for ven- dors who want to showcase their booths and further captivate attendees. In addi- tion, the center’s preferred decorator offers a wide variety of show layouts for booths, table tops and custom shows, as well as exhibitor shipping, drayage and add-ons.

Chase Center on the Riverfront also offers show floor level loading docks for easy move in and move out; 2,400 compli- mentary parking spaces; outdoor exhibit areas surrounding the facility; the bonus of no sales tax on events, shopping and dining; and a low occupancy tax, too.

Chase Center plays host to a variety of shows and conventions each year, includ- ing: the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen Fine Arts Show, which attracts between 14,000 to 21,000 attendees; the Delaware Auto Show, which draws 10,000 atten- dees; and the Delaware Home Show, which brings in between 7,000 and 10,000 attendees.
