European influences abound at mag- nificent Longwood Gardens, truly one of the world’s finest horticultural treas- ures. Situated on 1,050 acres, Longwood features indoor gardens as well as outdoor gardens and a breathtaking conservatory. Built in 1919, the conservatory is one of the world’s great greenhouse structures; home to 20 different indoor gardens featuring 5,500 types of plants. Outdoor gardens overflow with gor- geous flowers and spectacular foun- tains. After hours, Longwood trans- forms into an ethereal event venue for meetings and social functions. The Terrace staff handles the on site cater- ing, which features fresh, regional ingredients like mushrooms - a Kennett Square specialty.
Set among award-winning perennial English gardens at The People’s Light
and Theatre Company, The Farmhouse at People’s Light is a pre- mier venue in Chester County. This restored 18th century farmhouse boasts a beautifully appointed ball- room with a private tented terrace and spacious landscaped surroundings. Smaller, more intimate celebrations can be held in the adjacent Farmhouse Bistro. This 230-year old historic landmark facility is known for its outstanding service, and plays host to special events, social affairs and corporate celebrations.
Victory Brewing Company is one very hopping event site. Its beer hall can seat up to 100 guests, while smaller groups may choose secluded sections of the dining room or the popular Brewmasters Booth. A full range of culinary creations (and brews!) can be customized.
Spirited events also can be held at along the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail. Seven estate vineyards in the rolling hills of the Brandywine Valley welcome corporate events and tast- ings, as well as provide a refreshing diversion after business functions. Private dinners with select tastings also are available at many of these charming sites.
Artifaqt, an artistic haven in Phoenixville, offers intimate meeting space amid beautifully crafted wood ware. Artifaqt’s founding craftsman, John Luttman, provides access to this unique studio space, tours of his on site workshop, and catering utilizing his artistic serve ware. Custom corpo- rate gifts and awards are available, as well. Jose Garces Catering provides the food and beverage at this inspiring meeting environment.
