PAVEMENT ARTISTS COMPETITION


10.30am to 12 noon approx - Seafront, by the Mowlem For all you budding Picassos out there, here’s the chance to show off your artistic talents and maybe win a prize as well! Pop along to the Seafront by the Mowlem, where the pavement serves as your canvas, and you will get the chance to create your own masterwork!


Held in the heart of Swanage’s nightlife, dance along with a host of fantastic street entertainers. Revellers can don colourful, exotic costumes or more traditional can be worn, from Cancan to Flamenco, Hawaiian to Rio, Pirate to Priest, wear a masquerade mask and let everyone guess who is behind it.


From the Red Lion down to the East Bar, revellers can strut their stuff and show off their costumes, see if you can outshine the rest!

DEVILS REJECTS 8.00pm to 9.15pm - Seafront Devils Rejects is a five piece folk punk band, local to Purbeck, that play an all original set influenced by bands such as Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys and Gogol Bordello. The band’s music is full of energy and appeals to all ages.

Come on down to have a sing and a laugh at this very popular and ever-growing event. It costs only £2.00 to sing, which goes straight to Carnival proceeds.


So if you think you can be a good ‘Lady Gaga’ or ‘Elvis’ or whatever, then make sure you are here tonight!
