CARNIVAL TEAM ROW Wednesday 1st August, 6.00pm - Main Beach
Swanage Sea Rowing Club has spent the last few weeks helping local and surrounding sports clubs, businesses and groups to learn to row in Cornish Pilot Gigs.
Teams of six, consisting of the novice rowers, will challenge each other in short sprint races along the sea front close to the beach, so come on down to cheer them along!
For anyone wishing to learn how to row these historic clinker built boats, sessions are held weekly from the stone quay near the pier, on Tuesday evenings at 6.00pm and also Saturday mornings at 9.30am.
Rowing Club members will be available to assist. Please do not hesitate to speak to any members you see this evening, they will be happy to answer any questions or visit our website at
www.ssrc.org.uk.
