The traditional game of French Boule has come to Swanage. If you have never played before, come along to give it a try and you may just walk off with a trophy. There are limited places for this popular event and play has been known to continue into the early evening.

Activities on the day will include
Egg and Spoon, Obstacle Course, Rescue Runs and many more. (Please bring your bikes for the slow bike race!) Cost: 50p per entry.

A chance for you to show your skills, taking on other young players as you compete for this coveted title in Swanage’s Wimbledon!
All players wishing to take part must enter their names on the notice board inside Beach Gardens Tennis Club House by midday on Monday 30th July - places are limited. Players must also be present when the draw for partners is made at 12.30pm on Tuesday 31st July.
Late arrivals will be unable to take part in the competition. Trophies will be presented to winners and runners-up.

Polish up your cue and come along to the Royal British Legion to take part in our friendly pool competition. Entry: £1.50 Per Player
The format for the competition will be Knockout/Scotch Doubles games and a speed pool challenge at 50p per try.
This is a new event for Carnival and we thank the British Legion for kindly hosting.

MUSIC ON THE STAGE
PURBECK STRINGS 3.30pm to 4.30pm - Seafront Purbeck Strings concert this year, which will include music by Grieg, Rossini and Bach, will be lead by The Stanford Quartet, conducted by Ian Pillow and sponsored by Humphries Kirk. The main stage on the seafront is the perfect spot for everyone to relax, listen and enjoy. So, come along and be charmed by the sweet sound of strings by the sea.

Come and join in the Fun! This event is for people of all ages looking to take part in a little bit of fun competition during their week. The biathlon is a swim followed by a short run along the beach.
Separate medals for male and female competitors.
Under 8 years, boys and girls 8-10 years, boys and girls 11-14 years, male and female 15 years and over, male and female.
All swims are in a circular course. Please enter a half hour before the event, at the slipway next to the Mowlem. CARNIVAL 2012
