1.00pm - Beach Gardens. Registration: Beach Gardens A chance for the seniors, 15 years and above, to show us their skills on the tennis court in the mixed doubles.
All players wishing to take part must enter their names on the notice board inside Beach Gardens Tennis Club House by midday on Tuesday 31st July - places are limited. Players must also be present when the draw for partners is made at 12.30pm on Wednesday 1st August.
Late arrivals will be unable to take part in the competition. Trophies will be presented to winners and runners-up.

BOAT & SHORE ANGLING COMPETITIONS
Registration 5.30pm Fishing 6.00pm to 10.00pm - Swanage & District Angling Club, next to Lifeboat House, Peveril Point
There is an abundance of fish to be caught in our local waters, so if you think you know the best way to tempt them onto a hook, join our competition and you could go home with more than just a fish supper!
Entry Fee: £5 per Angler. There will be a first prize of 40% of entrance fees and a second prize of 30%.
2 optional pools can be purchased at £1 each, for the longest round fish and for the longest flat fish, in each competition.
Starting from the Angling Club at 5.30pm both competitions finish back at the Angling Club by 10.15pm.
Entry to the shore competition will also give free fishing access to the pier for the evening. CARNIVAL 2012

6.45pm to 8.00pm - Bandstand, Recreation Ground Formed over fifteen years ago by two local musicians, Eric Gosney and Eddie Wright, the Swanage Town Band is now under the musical directive of conductor Mr David Cook.
The band now boasts over thirty playing members and plays throughout the summer months at concerts, fetes and charitable events. Tonight the band will play a few old favourites, but mainly a new programme consisting of medleys from the likes of the Beatles, Queen, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong, as well as West End and Broadway Shows. This is superb entertainment for all the family, so why not bring a picnic, relax and enjoy the music in these wonderful surroundings. CARNIVAL 2012
Swanage Town Band ADULT SAND SCULPTURE
7.30pm to 9.00pm - Main Beach, opposite The Main Stage Playing on the beach is not just for the children - we like the adults to have a go too! So bring your bucket and spade, think back to your childhood and sculpt imaginatively in the sand. All designs are welcome - so be creative! Bring along your family and friends, or have a go by yourself, because it’s not the size of the piece but the originality and quality of the design. Beach tools are welcome to be used although the use of earth-moving equipment, such as a JCB, is against the rules! Work to be completed by 8.45pm, judging soon after.
Entry Fee: £3.50 per team.
