operating with the new Apex Intelli-X2 48 processor and a DiGiCo SD8 desk. While Algam presented products from its range of brands including Avid, Martin Audio and Shure. Thanks to the success of Audio Live last year and the positive feedback it received resulting in its reappearance this year, JTSE chose to extend further and offer a similar set up for lighting manufacturers. Again, away from the main exhibition floor, but just a few metres away in Dock Haussmann, six lighting ‘showrooms’ were put together. The companies that occupied them were AVAB, distributors of ETC, Coemar and City Theatrical, Axente representing ArKaos, Aryton, Robe, Spotlight, MA Lighting and MDG, and CSI, which looks after Vari-Lite, Selecon and Griven in the French market. Three manufacturers - Clay Paky, Martin Professional and

Robert Juliat - also took up the opportunity. On the show floor itself there were no announcements to speak of - not that you expect any at a regional show - but there was a friendly and positive attitude. The return of the Siel show at the end of January was a hot topic, with some people saying the two shows are incomparable, but I don’t see how that is possible when clearly some companies will exhibit at both. Regardless, JTSE seems to have gath- ered many loyal visitors over the years, and offering new features year-on-year is definitely a positive. JTSE will return to the same location on 27 -28 November 2012. For more information go to: www.jtse.fr
