JTSE PARIS


The 15th edition of the Performance and Entertainment Technical Show and Convention (JTSE), took place at Dock Pullman, Paris on 29-30 November 2011. Last year JTSE introduced Audio Live - a separate area located just a few metres from the main exhibition hall in Dock Eiffel - where audio manufacturers were given the opportunity to demonstrate their products in a live environment. This was offered again this year and many manufacturers and distributors took up the opportunity. Inside Dock Eiffel there were three stages. The first was devoted entirely to Best Audio, distributors of Meyer Sound in France, and it demonstrated the company’s iconic Constellation series. John Pellowe, Meyer Sound’s Consultant Engineer - who has played a huge part in the development of Constellation - was on hand to

answer visitors’ questions and enquiries. The second stage was occupied by two distributors, which were given allocated time slots - in conjunction with all the other companies exhibiting inside Dock Eiffel - to showcase their products without interference. Audio 2 flew six cabinets of Outline Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. per side, supplemented by two SubTech 218’s and two DVS 10’s for front fills. The sound system was controlled using a Cadac S-Type mixing console, while the performers’ microphones were provided courtesy of DPA. Audiolead took the second spot on this stage, with an entire set-up supplied by Alcons Audio, and this is the first time the company has exhibited at JTSE. While the third and final staging area, the same as the second, was a platform for two companies. APEX France showcased a Coda Audio sound system,
