Kilmacolm War Memorial Board Re-dedication – 11/11/11
On Friday 11th November, there will be a short service for the re-dedication of the Kilmacolm War Memorial Board in the Community Centre, followed by the Act of Remembrance at 11am. The service will be conducted by the Very Reverend Bill Hewitt, past Moderator of the General Assembly, and local clergy.
The Kilmacolm War Memorial Board was originally erected in the Institute (the old Community Centre) in November 1930, and is now relocated in the atrium of the new Community Centre. It has been carefully repaired and restored by Hamish Hardie, Alastair Wells and David Craig.
All welcome to attend this service, which will commence at 10.50am.
Pictured is a copy of an original invitation, found behind the memorial board during the relocation process.
