SELF CLEANING PUTS COMPASS IN A STRONG MARKET POSITION Both Compass Pools Ltd and Compass Ceramic Pools UK Ltd still have a strong position in the one- piece pools market producing composite ceramic pools in three different models with a unique finish and its respected ‘self cleaning’ facility. Compass Ceramic Pools’ high stock levels in Europe now means the company can provide the pool purchaser with installation times down to one or two weeks. This means installers can get fast turn round of sites.
The pools can, if you want, come with everything complete – steps, a gently sloping floor, seats, perimeter grip rails – all incorporated into the original mould. They are pre-plumbed with flexible pipe. Compass claim their pools are a superior product and a developing product which is also getting competitive on price with shorter build times and controlled and predictable building costs. What has made the Compass brand stand out is its unique Vantage Cleaning System, a self cleaning system of around nine strategically placed nozzles that rise from the floor of the pool to clean and sweep away debris.
NO REPAINTING, RE-SURFACING OR RE- TILING, EVER!
The summer season in the UK is so short that pool installers should seriously consider the one-
piece pool option. That’s the view of Estelle Michaels, who handles the popular and successful Multiforma brand in the UK.
“The ease and speed of the installation will really impress the clients. They will have the pool installed in about a week from start to finish. Less time spent on each site means for more installations which means more profit.” Almost 40 years of one-piece pool building goes behind the Multiforma range, which is imported from Valencia in Spain. Multiforma is one of the oldest and most respected swimming pool manufacturers in Europe and holds government accreditations for the materials used as well the manufacturing processes. Materials used for the pools are selected not just for their quality but because they pass the UNE 53955 standard tests and controls. Multiforma uses a combination of epoxyvinylester resin, the highest quality fiberglass and an iso-neopentyl glycol gel coat finish in the manufacture of their pools. Twenty six pools make up the range in sizes from 3 metres to 10 metres.
An endless pool effect which is much in demand from Multiforma has additional side grating which drops down to house the cover and gives the infinity pool effect.
The range includes constant depth pools which have become very popular, so popular that a new
flat bottomed pool has been introduced in the classic Roman ended Nilo range. This new model is 9.2m x 4.1m x 1.5m deep.
The options are endless, customised colours, mosaic tiled borders, overflow systems, special depths, overflow pools, light weight installations for penthouse and roof top installations and counter-current.
“When the pool arrives on site it has already been fitted with all the equipment needed, e.g. underwater lights, skimmer, water inlets etc. It is then lowered into the hole and backfilled with a sand/chemicals and fibreglass. Less pool maintenance chemicals are required. Importantly – the colour will never wear away – no repainting, re-surfacing or re-tiling, ever!
Multiforma has produced more than 30,000 fibreglass pools since 1972.
“If you want a pool with proven longevity, which looks good, with the absolute minimum of maintenance and gives years of pleasure to you and your family at an affordable price, fibreglass is the considered choice,” added Estelle.
THE ONE-PIECE ‘PUDDLE’ ARRIVES Hamish Steere from Quality Pool Supplies Limited said one-piece pools were quick and simple to install and one big advantage was the durability of the fibreglass options which meant manufacturers were very confident about the
