warm welcome and a supremely well organised exhibition at the November 2010 Salon Piscine ensured both exhibitors and visitors garnered the best from attending and the show was voted a huge success by all concerned.
With over 600 exhibitors the 2010 show really did have something for everyone and this was further boosted by organised training sessions and highlights including water skiing demonstrations.
QUOTES FROM THE SHOW FLOOR
HornerXpress Vice President Linda Carroll: “We have exhibited at this trade event since its inception, along with the alternating Barcelona show. It’s an important exhibition for us and our partners because it is certainly the key international show. This year the organisation was particularly good and we had no complaints at all with the services available.”
The entrances to the halls were lined with the top 100 new products and incorporated a range containing everything from the latest in automatic dosing to hot tubs, pool lighting and fitness aids such as the light and easy to install underwater Splashbike. During the exhibition the new products were judged by a team of industry professionals and trophies were awarded to 28 of the innovations.
The ’Brit Pack‘ may have been waving the Union Jack but most also gave a more than favourable nod to the Drapeau Tricolore. Aligator Systems Product Manager David Dunn decided, after a successful 2009 show in Barcelona that the natural progression would be to exhibit in Lyon and said: “As well as the prospect of meeting our existing customers this also gave us the opportunity to speak to potential clients and dealers, not just in France but as far afield as Israel, Tunisia and Qatar.”
Well known names among the 600 included Astral, Certikin, Pentair and Waterco to name but a few. Waterco Managing Director Tony Fisher commented: “Waterco Europe was delighted to exhibit at the recent Piscine 2010
Pool Show in Lyon. In the past the show has been very good for Waterco and this year it did not disappoint with a record number of visitors to the stand and contacts from over 17 different countries. The Lyon Pool Show was the perfect platform for Waterco to launch a number of new products for 2011 that included a new and exciting range of MultiCyclone Plus filter systems, the Zane Gulf panel solar system, in-line commercial strainers, the Exotuf 600 sand filter and LED lights to name but a few. As with every year we found that the organisation and service was of the highest level and we look forward to 2012!”
EJ Bowman chose Lyon to unveil their new range of stainless steel and titanium heat exchangers saying: “We are looking to develop our distribution network throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas and feel Lyon is the ideal springboard for this.”
Certikin International Business Manager Jo Ainsworth followed on from Tony Fisher’s comments by saying: “In general we saw a definite improvement in visitor numbers to our stand to that of two years ago. The quality of the
