although visitors to the Piscine pool and spa show in Lyon in the autumn saw them there for the first time. The new additions to the Catalina range are a new 14ft swim spa and a new MMX1X six seater spa. Both products were warmly received at Lyon says Catalina’s Stephen Crabb: “They were an incredible success so I think everyone will be impressed when they see them.” The 14 foot swim spa adds to the success of the swim spa range Catalina has enjoyed over the past few years. “I don’t really think
there’s such a thing as new season spas these days,” said Stephen. “It is true we have two amazing new spas available at the start of the year but normally it is as question of introducing the products when they are available or when we feel there is a need. “We are small enough to be able to adapt to
the market and its needs. We offer specific hot tub designs for our customers’ needs. Catalina hot tubs are designed in the UK then made in the US. So we can adapt at any time of the year, even mid season.” Catalina also has its new energy efficient spa
and swim spa heat pump heating systems available for 2011 – a system which will pay for itself in energy savings inside three years. A key 2011 development for the company is the availability of a 10 year guarantee for the Catalina range of tubs. “We’ve been around for 15 years now so
everyone can see we have a lot of stability as a company. It’s not as if we are a business that’s only a round for a few months. But the main point is they do not go wrong. We have one engineer – and he spends most of his time in the office! So the reliability is such we are very happy to offer the guarantee.” Coast Spas has a new Cascade Phantom hot
