BTU PUTS FOCUS ON MAGNAPOOL FILTRATION SYSTEM
BTU Poolservices Ltd will be exhibiting at SPATEX for the first time. Despite being a major player within the industry for over 40 years this will be the first year that they have had any presence at the event. Managing Director Norman Macmillan said: “BTU Poolservices have been a permanent fixture within the pool industry for years now and are one of the main suppliers of both main equipment and particularly spare parts within the UK. Our aim this year is to increase awareness and improve our profile to a lot of the trade pool companies who are not fully aware of our status within the industry and this will be helped by the launch of our new full colour catalogue in the spring. Our main focus for SPATEX, will be to exhibit the Magnapool filtration system which was launched last year with great success. BTU is also due to launch an exclusive range of automatic pool covers for Hydra Systeme. BTU Pool Services – Stand U131

SPA CREST EUROPE ADDS TO ITS POPULAR COASTAL RANGE
New Solar Bear heat pump from Heatstar
WARM WELCOME FOR THE SOLAR BEAR
The unique ability for customers to be able to select the colour of their Solar Bear heat pump has proved a successful new product range which many will see at SPATEX for the first time. A swimming pool heat pump will frequently be positioned at a visible location within the garden and end customers appreciate having the opportunity to influence the appearance. Even a wood effect version is available. All models are offered with the option of electronic ‘Soft Start’, to counteract the loading on the electric supply whenever the motor starts. The new heat pumps visually reflect the quality construction associated with a UK assembled product.
Also on show and three years after it’s inception, the Gemini combined climate control and fresh air heat pump concept has proved an enormous success against a backdrop of spiralling fuel prices and the increased desire to apply renewable energy solutions. Heatstar – Stand U136
DRYDEN AQUA SHOWS OFF NEW PHOTOPROTECTION PRODUCT
Dryden Aqua has developed ACO Active Chemical Photoprotection, a new product to protect chlorine from photo reduction by UV disinfection systems and from sunlight. Even an indoor pool looses a great deal of chlorine by photo-reduction. ACO replaces cyanuric acid but is cheaper and without the side effects. Dryden Aqua continues with intensive R&D for the pool industry and is pleased to announce that the chlorine oxidation demand in most public swimming pools can be reduced by up to 90%. This means that chemical demand for chlorine as well as pH regulation chemicals are also reduced by the same amount. The company says it has effectively eliminated most chlorine disinfection by-products and can run a typical 25m public pool on less than 2kg of chlorine per day. Dryden Aqua – Stand L147
Spa Crest Europe’s stand promises to be bursting at the seams as the company will have seven spas on show for customers to view in a high profile display including the latest addition to the Coastal range – the St Augustine. The three existing tubs in the value-for-money Coastal range – the Hattera, Charleston and Savannah have a new addition. There will also be the new Club 25 in- ground tub for the commercial market which has a split shell feature – it’s the first product of its kind from Spa Crest Europe. The company will also be displaying its standard Spa Crest range plus its top of the range Vision products. Spa Crest Europe – Stand U117
